La 94ª edición de los Premios Oscar de la Academia de Hollywood se celebrará el domingo 27 de marzo en el teatro Dolby de Los Ángeles, y con ese motivo, este martes, la Academia anunció a los nominados a alzarse con las estatuillas.
Tras una edición que pasó prácticamente inadvertida por las condiciones del COVID, y unos Globos de Oro que han ido a menos por sus escándalos, los Premios Oscar regresan con la intención de volver a la antigua normalidad.
Tracee Ellis Ross y el actor y comediante Leslie Jordan serán los anfitriones de la presentación, que se puede ver en Oscar.com, Oscars.org y en las plataformas digitales de la Academia de cine (Twitter, YouTube y Facebook). También se transmitirá en programas de transmisión de noticias nacionales, incluidos Good Morning America de ABC y ABC News Live.
El rumor en torno a la mejor película se ha centrado en el western noir de Jane Campion, The Power of the Dog, la encantadora obra de memoria de Kenneth Branagh, Belfast, y la película biográfica de tenis de Reinaldo Marcus Green, King Richard.
Películas nostálgicas como el remake de West Side Story, de Steven Spielberg, y Licorice Pizza, de Paul Thomas Anderson, también están en la carrera, así como títulos populares como el espectáculo de ciencia ficción de Denis Villeneuve, Dune, y la taquillera película de Marvel, Spider-Man: No Way Home, la contendiente sorpresa.
