Willy Verginer, the surrealist sculptor with social and environmental awareness

Willy verginer build incredible sculptures that lean toward him surrealism and keep deep meanings.

Of impressive beauty each piece is carefully carved in wood.

And although they could be rougher, the level of detail is amazing.

Human, animal or object figures are distinguished by the colored blocks that immediately attract attention.

But this aspect goes further, since the creative wants to give the idea that one part of the first element is transferred to the other.

From here another message, social and environmental awareness, as well as the importance of the conservation of the species and of the Earth in general.

Finally, something that happens day by day, we always have an impact on everything we touch.

Born on February 23th 1957 In Bresanona, he studied painting. However, he noticed that his authentic form of expression is sculpture.

Verginer's art is figurative and generally features characters in action, simply sublime and excellent.

He currently lives in Ortisei and continues with frequent international exhibitions.
