The work of the Mexican artist Triana Parera is completely focused on how human beings are built from their experiences and knowledge.
This artist, only 34 years old, believes in the truths based on individual constructions of reality, which results in as many variants as the number of humans that inhabit the world.
The also graduate of La Esmeralda has also been a resident and collaborator at La Ceiba Gráfica in Xalapa, Veracruz, and at the Berlin Art Institute, BAI, in Berlin.
Currently Triana Parera is part of Circle Lab, in Mexico City, so we invite you to get to know her a little better through Bio Fahrenheit.
Did you study art or are you self-taught?
I studied at the ENPEG: School of painting, sculpture and engraving "La Esmeralda".

What was the first work that marked you to start your path in art?
Saturn devouring a son, by Francisco de Goya.
Place of inspiration or reflection.
Long walks and the shower.
What is your favorite meeting point with friends?
My study.
What was your first work?
I believe that a work as such has to do with a whole process of knowledge and development of an idea or conception of "something" through the different forms of representation that are available, counting or achieving the factor in which it acquires life own and I leave leftover. In this way, I think I could consider my first work the exhibition All that glitters is gold, made up of 20 pieces (12 linoleum prints, 7 drawings and a mirror). He sought to question appearances through the representation of human behavior, based on an ironic relationship with animals and insects. The work was not only one of the pieces, but the whole of them and what they generated by living together in the same space.

What does creating mean to you?
get out of me Observe myself through the context I'm in and encode it in a different way.
What is the most important thing in your day to day?
Form new paths of thought within my mind in order to bring them to reality.

Devoting oneself to art is a way of life, from my perspective one does not exist without the other.
