La creativity arises from the confrontations between humans and what surrounds them. That is precisely what inspires Innerfields, an art collective that, over the years, has gained popularity around the world.
Innerfields is made up of the artists Jakob Tory Bardou, Holger Weißflog and Veit Tempich. Born and settled in Berlin, grew up with graffiti as a big influence.
Formed as a group in 1998, these artists like to reflect their surroundings, often creating figurative motifs in realistic. These motifs are then mixed with graphic elements and symbols.
They use a variety of media and styles, ranging from aerosol cans to bread gold, from realism to abstract design and from interior walls to huge exterior murals.

The human being, both linked to nature and too often opposed to it, is a central theme in his work. They see creating artwork as a profession and love to participate in festivals and various art related projects around the world.
The main creative focus of Innerfields lies in the confrontations between humans and technology, as well as the fragile bond that humanity shares with the nature that surrounds her.
Innerfields wants to encourage the viewer to critically think and question their own nature.
The images they produce are not necessarily intended to paint a negative portrait of society, but rather to represent snapshots of specific situations that the viewer encounters.

Basically, what Innerfields tries to promote are emotions based on the events that surround us.
Among his most recent works is the mural titled Absent (main image), depicting a Ukrainian woman who lost a loved one in the war.
It is estimated that tens of thousands of Ukrainians have died since Russia launched its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, but no official civilian or military death toll has been given and this is precisely what his mural wants to capture.
