Compose up to deafness

Some experts point out that he lived three stages in his music, the first nurtured by influences, the second of considerable maturity. And, finally, a third that would be characterized by printing a deep intellectual charge on its pieces. You can see the evolution, at the beginning his works were light and soft, while the latter are turbulent and even epic. His melodies were innovative and personal. Among the most prominent are For Elisa, the Ninth Symphony y Moonlight. In the latter there is a story that is not known if it was true or not, but it does exist: It is said that she had a blind friend who asked her how does the moon look? To which he replied: "I can't tell you what it looks like, but I can show you how it sounds." The most relevant compositions in his life were for piano and chamber music, some of them so sublime that they are still fundamental today. He handled a variety of genres and in his legacy we find 9 symphonies, 32 piano sonatas, 2 masses and an opera. Towards the end of his life he plunged into complete introspection. The Ninth Symphony was his final work and he composed it completely deaf, although he wanted to hide it until the last moment. It was inspired by previous ones of his authorship, but the arrangement and orchestration were completely new.
