Director Peter Bogdanovich passed away at age 82

El famous film director Peter Bogdanovich, critically acclaimed for such films as The Last Picture Show y Paper Moon, died en Los Angeles, EU, at 82 years old.

His daughter, Antonia Bogdanovich, was the one who made his death known but so far did not reveal the cause of his death.

Originally he trained as an actor of ,, but he also served as a producer, screenwriter, film historian, programmer and critic, as well as a theater and television director.

As a filmmaker, he was acclaimed for his ability to convince actors of nuanced performances and for the bittersweet luminosity of his films that evoke a glorious past in American cinema.

The Last Picture Show, Bogdanovich's second film and considered the most important, was described in 1971 as a masterpiece and from there his career took off as a director.

However, this director's career collapsed in the late 70s as went from being one of the most famous directors of Hollywood to one of the most marginalized.

His career was marred over the next few years by harsh criticism and box office failures, his bankruptcy and lack of work.

Unfortunately, his career as a director could never be recovered from such tremendous blows and countless scandals, but his works, mainly those he created in the 70s, endure and echo to this day.

To this work, that of directing, was added that of an actor, where he could shine until the end of his days. He worked with Quentin Tarantino and was the psychiatrist of psychiatrists at The Sopranor, two of his most popular characters in recent times.
