From September 10 to October 25 the International Film Festival with a Gender Perspective 2020.
In order to bring gender studies and human rights closer to a diverse audience that may or may not be familiar with the issues, this exhibition takes the viewer through the hundred and other disciplines.
The project seeks to be a forum that invites to question the way of seeing films from a gender perspective from all kinds of cinematographic productions.
The idea of making a sample of this nature arises from the need to disseminate the theories and proposals of gender studies.
In this way, gender study topics can transcend the academic plane and have an influence that allows social transformation.
In each edition, roundtables for debates, conferences and conservatories are organized, made up of specialists in cinematography, gender and human rights.
The films of the official selection within the following categories: Sexual and reproductive rights; Mobility, humanity and migration; Ecofeminisms; Etarisms; Queer and Postporno; Dissonances; Minorities in focus; Home; Athletic body; VS. Half; Confinements and seclusion.
The International Film Festival with a Gender Perspective includes recent productions and from previous decades. Feature and short films are also screened, both fiction and documentary, in all kinds of expressions and genres such as experimental cinema and video art, to name a few.
This year MIC Tour Genre it adapts to the global context faced by the public health crisis and takes its programming activities online.
