Gail wight is a bioartist who is characterized by finding a meeting point between art, science and biology in their investigations.

Gail Wight was born in Connecticut, United States, in 1960. She studied art at Massachusetts and in San Francisco, California. He has dabbled in sculpture, video, interactive and print media.
Wight investigates the intersection of art in science and biology, in addition to neuroscience, the history of technology, theories of evolution, cognition, and animals.
In his laboratory he created the series "Hexapodarium", photographs of the wings of house flies in which he found various forms. The author was struck by the fact that this insect is 65 million years old and so tough.
The author considers that there is too much trust in the science to understand life and human relationships.
The work of the also academic has been exhibited in various venues around the world such as the Natural History Museum in London, the National Museum of Art of China in Beijing, at the Cornerhouse Center for Contemporary Art in Manchester, and in the contemporary art gallery Foxy Production in New York City.

She currently teaches experimental arts and sciences at Stanford University where she is an associate professor in the Department of Art and History.
