To deal with the imposing sandstorms that occur in Dubai, the firm Kalbod Studio proposed to build 25 skyscrapers on the main route of this country, with an innovative and curious design, so that they absorb the dust particles that cause so much damage.

The so-called sand storms are a relatively common phenomenon in arid and semi-arid regions that occur when a strong wind blows arena and particles from a dry surface. These are often recorded during the summer or early spring, when rising temperatures cause strong winds.

Therefore, it is expected that the intensity of the storms will also increase with the increase in global temperature and that is precisely why the project is so important.

The sandstorm can have the same origin, but depending on where it passes, it drags all kinds of things along the way, which contain contaminants or even viruses and bacteria.

Taking into account the above factors and that the design of skyscrapers must follow a specific approach, the firm Kalbod Studio set itself the goal of creating an adequate solution to sandstorms in Dubai through the integration of creativity and technology.

For this reason, the company decided to carry out extensive and very deep studies on the natural phenomenon before beginning the design of the great skyscrapers.

The properties will be located on the main road of Dubai, where sandstorms are very powerful. Therefore, how to deal with this phenomenon has become the guiding principle and the design only responds to how to control this problem since the damages that are registered by them each year are really important.

In order for this project to achieve its objective, which is to stop the impact of sandstorms, Kalbod Studio contemplated that these phenomena lose their electrical charge when they enter the building's facilities, but that their force can be transferred to the purification section.

A single skyscraper is not enough to control sandstorms. Therefore, the firm proposed the creation of 25 overlapping towers, which will help block their way. The way these towers will be arranged will result in such a way that they will be placed from one side to the other and, as a consequence, will provide greater protection against storms.
