The Senza Frontiera office, led by the architect Alessandra Antonia Notarangelo, was in charge of redesigning and injecting new energy into the already known Avamposto11 restaurant, located in Monopoli, Italy.
The Notarangelo concept pays tribute to the vitality of the new generations Italian when incorporating Fun and less formal architectural and design elements that generate authentic gastronomic experiences.
To achieve this, the architect decided to divide Avamposto11 into two large spaces and thus be able to provide diners with a better experience.
The first space is the internal restaurant, full of color, and the second is a terrace Heated exterior that runs year-round, so it must have looked even more casual.
The biggest challenge that Alessandra Antonia Notarangelo faced in this project was to integrate the new vision of the place because they would mainly focus on serving sushi and would only leave a small menu of international entries.
To emphasize the new path that Avamposto11 is taking, this creative came up with the idea of making the sushi bar the central area of the place, so he installed even the typical noren curtain.
Thus, the entrance became an authentic living room that incorporates geometric lines with an invasion of colors, between the tiles designed by Natalie du Pasquier and several cheerful sofas that were embedded in that area to provide a totally casual touch.
Avamposto11 has been designed, with several very careful details, to encourage diners to enjoy good food in a colorful and authentic way.
