Buyers are more and more sophisticated and precisely for this reason, brands seek to offer, in one way or another, super experiences methodologies. The best and latest example of this is Biotherm.

To achieve this, this renowned French company specializing in the creation of skin care products decided to hire the British firm Universal Design Studio to create a concept store where buyers could learn more about its line of cosmetics.

Thus, inside the historic Oceanographic Institute of Monaco, the Blue Beauty Lab was built, a place where buyers and industry experts can go to expand their knowledge about the technology that underpins Biotherm's skin care line.

In this store of 30 square meters a series of products of the brand is exhibited, but none of them are for sale because they can only be purchased through a waiting list.

Thanks to the amazing work done by the Universal Design Studio team, visitors can fully immerse themselves in the experience of being in one of the most Elegant in the world.

Satoshi Isono, Creative Director of the Universal Design Studio firm, explained in an interview to Dezeen that brands are increasingly looking for a physical presence as a means of selling products.

Brands like Biotherm, he added, take advantage of disruptive spaces to tell stories about their essence in a different way and thus be able to connect with their clients in a more impressive way.

Something surprising (and quite) about this space is that its exterior walls literally surround the water tanks that house various aquatic creatures, so architectural interventions had to be kept to a minimum.

This glamorous lab focuses on the production of Life Plankton, an extract containing 35 different nutrients that Biotherm incorporates into some of its moisturizers, serums and skin scrubs.

To give it that special touch so that visitors can fully immerse themselves in the experience scientific, microscopes, petri dishes, test tubes and flasks were placed along all the stainless steel counters and glass shelves of this super original store.
