El anemone sofa will undoubtedly enchant you for its design, colors and comfort. Created by Taiwanese Yi Xuan Lee, refers to the anemone that is found under the sea and that offers protection to the fish.

Looking for a striking visual effect, but also a protective effect, the designer mainly focuses on visual tension.

In Xuan's own words, his main goal was to combine the shape of a traditional sofa and the pompous figure of an anemone.

“In this project, I mainly focus on visual tension. What I want to do is think outside the box of a sofa, and create a strong visual impact.”

To achieve this effect, the designer used the characteristic red and white polyurethane tube tied with red iron wire that gives the anemone effect.

Covered with this material, the sofa gently covers those who use it, just as the anemone protects the fish.

Golden Design Award Winner in the Award Category Furniture Design Award 2017-2018, has a large "skin", which replaces the fabric of a common sofa.

The A' Furniture Design Award aims to highlight the excellent ratings of the best furniture designs and the best furniture design concepts around the world.

The A' Design Accolades are organized and awarded annually and internationally in multiple categories to reach a broad design-oriented audience, creating global awareness of good design.

The anemone sofa stands under the Weimar Design studio, a passionate and creative professional company providing a full range of design services.
