Yasuaki Onishi is a Japanese multidisciplinary artist, born in Osaka, Japan in 1979. He studied sculpture at the University of Tsukuba and Kyoto. Among his installation is Reverse of volume, which is built with simple materials such as strips of black silicone, translucent plastic and fishing line. He creates monumental reliefs forms like floating clouds, or mountains. Another of his installations is Vertical Volume, was presented at the Shizuoka Convention & Arts Center, where the ethereal plays a major role. This installation consists of a plastic sleeves containing fans in the interior.
