WUZHEN THEATER SURGES FROM WATER

The firm Artech Architects + Kris Yao Architect, has created the Wuzhen Theater in the village of Zhejiang, China. The building is situated on the water and is inspired by a lotus flower. The central part of the building is composed of two functional theaters between 600 and 1200 entries, each of which forms an oval in order to appreciate the stage. Outside, the windows seem to be enveloped in a web which protects the interior of the structure. At night, the theater lights so that the reflection of the building can be seen from a distance. This theater has been named the most beautiful in Chinaand  people can be reached via a bridge or a boat, and this center is a meeting place and symbol of the town of Zhejiang.
