Wild Stories is an anthology of six independent stories ranging from comedy and drama, written and directed by Damián Szifrón. The production was carried out by Pedro and Agustín Almodóvar, while the soundtrack was composed by Gustavo Santaolalla. Wild Stories is among the nominees for Best Foreign Language Film at the 87th Annual Academy Awards.
The first story is Pasternak: Two passengers on a plane discover they have an acquaintance in common with this name. They realize that everyone on the flight have something to do with this character, who finally has something planned for all them.
The Rats presents a usurer who stops at a restaurant on the road. A waitress recognized him as the man who ruined his family and plans revenge.
The Strongest is the story of two men who drive their cars on a desert road. While one is full of faults, the other is a latest model. The owner of the second vehicle was upset when the former is not allowed to pass. After exchanging words, the problems begin, the luxury car breaks down and requires the help of the other driver.
Bombita tells how is destroyed the life of a man after his car is driven by the crane. A series of unfortunate events cornered him to take drastic measures.
The Proposal presents to the son of a rich family to conceal a crime, asked their gardener to asume the blame in exchange for benefits. Things get complicated when the young man must decide whether to confess or continue with the treat.
‘Til Death is the final story of the film. At a wedding, the bride discovers her husband has been unfaithful with one of the partygoers. She decides to take revenge on her husband, but he offers her a deal.
These stories, dramatic and funny at the same time, have something in common: they show what happens when our everyday experiences are pushed to the limit and are mixed with violence and revenge.
