VÍCTOR HUGO REYES: ABSTRACTION OF EVERYDAY

The Mexican artist Victor Hugo Reyes (1975) is an emerging artist who explores the colors, sizes and shapes, his work takes place in both 2D and 3D processes, emphasizing the application of new media production and alternative materials such as resin on MDF. For him, references related to his daily life and the urban landscape not only mark his work as purely visual, but that transport the viewer into the world of the contemplative. So the change of pace in the work of Reyes, condensation or relaxation of the designs of stripes, dots, wavy lines, triangular or rectangular virtual movements in one direction and in the opposite direction and statism or dynamism of pictorial elements, evoke an expression full of tension and emotion.

Since 1999 performs solo exhibitions and has participated in numerous group shows in Costa Rica, Spain, Germany, USA, Hong Kong, France, Denmark, England and Mexico.
