Uldus Bakhtiozina is a photographer and visual artist who lives and works in Russia. She was born in St. Petersburg in 1986. At 18, this young artist decided to study photography at the University of Arts in London Central Saint Martins College.
Uldus Bakhtiozina’s career began in London as fashion photographer, however, after several years, decided to return to Moscow to do more artwork. The production of the artist is characterized by dark and melancholy, in which is notorious passion for fashion.
After a trip to Nepal, Uldus Bakhtiozina opened a studio of visual arts in her homeland. Currently, the artist specializes in photo-art, fashion photography and the creation of music videos. Her work and visual discourse have been so important in Russia, she has also given talks in the organization of Ted Talks, and has worked debates about art and women in the BBC.
