Tran Nguyen is an illustrator born in Vietnam but raised in the US. She is interested in creating images that serve as pisco-therapeutic support, so the exploration of the mind, indeed, the unconscious, is her main theme. Thus, it is no surprise that Nguyen found in surrealism the best to express her ideas. The female figure is the protagonist in her work, which is made with colored pencils and acrylic on paper. In some cases, they are giants and appear leaning over the roofs of a city, and in others, surrounded by voluptuous dresses that change shape. Two details are more common: the blue and gestures that suggest sadness. Both elements result in a deep, atmospheric and melancholic production.
Tran Nguyen has worked with companies such as Playboy, Tor, McDonald’s and Chateau St. Michelle Winery, and has exhibited in California, New York, Spain and Italy.
