The Firefly Guesthouses, designed by the Russian architect Totan Kuzembaev and named for their extreme colors and enlightened like fireflies, offer a pleasant escape into the dense forest outside Moscow. Each wooden structure sits on a foundation of concrete and has two floors including an entrance hall, lounge, bathroom, kitchen, two bedrooms and two en suite bathrooms, and of course, a large porch on each level, protected by a thin metal substructure covered with translucent colored panels which deliver a vibrant night touch, for shining through the tree trunks.
