While for some people, the city is surly and strident, for others, it hides secrets and stunning scenery: it’s just a matter of sharpening the look, keep an open mind and go with the path of its people, buildings and cars. Australian photographer Ben Thomas traveled to Tokyo, and was deeply in love with this city. Through his camera, he captured all sorts of everyday scenes: skyscrapers, night, shopping and so on. Some of them required a helicopter to be achieved.
However, his work has something more: he used a technique called tilt-shift, consisting of bluring certain objectives, to focus on one. The result are photographs where Tokyo looks like a small toy city: Tiny Tokyo.
