Different textures, reflections in water and glass, the light effects are all captured so acutely, it is almost mesmerizing in the work of Nathan Walsh. We might even think that this is a picture but it is not. Paintings of urban environments with careful attention to perspective, is considered one of the great exponents of hyperrealism. The pictorial space of Walsh takes two forms: the first is a horizontal extension and the second an illusion of depth. Both are exaggerated so does not lead to the reproduction of nature, however, in such exaggeration Walsh has attempted to create a credible space.
