The Cube is an installation designed and built for the China International Beijing Biennale, 2013. Created by the Angelena firm Oyler Wu Collaborative, this piece is a geometric axiom that plays with the perception of the viewer. The work is 16 meters high, and consists of various metal frames. Up close, the viewer may think that these figures, resembling a kind of membranes. Inside the cube, various color transparencies seem a cobweb. At night, the installation changes of color, while on the day just seems to be a large metal piece. Oyler Wu Collaborative is known for developing amazing installations, which maximize the simplicity of the materials, creating forms and relations from a previous complex study.
