Daniel Buren, of French origin, is one of the most important artists on the international contemporary art scene. From the beginning, his bold visual style and has generated debate on the integration of art in historic buildings.
He appropriates certain spaces through installations and interventions in various urban environments such as the Palais Royale in Paris, the Forbidden City of Beijing, the bow of the Guggenheim Bilbao, among others. His work is characterized by the critical use of an abstract and colorful aesthetic, raising questions about how we perceive the use and appropriation of space and nature. Buren has been recognized globally with significant awards, has over 1700 exhibitions around the world and is currently represented in Mexico by Gallery Hilario Galguera.
