The Biennale of Sydney, is a nonprofit organization responsible for the largest and most comprehensive show of visual arts in Australia. Every two years, and for three months, the show has an extensive program of talks with artists, forums and guided tours. The Biennale of Sydney was the first to settle in the Asia-Pacific region and, together with Venice and São Paulo Biennales and Documenta-Kasel, is one of the largest exhibitions of its kind. The inaugural edition in 1973 announced the new generation of biennial exhibitions, whose main objective was to provide a platform for creativity and ideas of individual artists.
