David Oppenheim was, and remains as one of the most important American sculptors and graphic artists. He has produced work which merges art and architecture. Oppenheim was born in Washington, U.S., and studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in California. His public recognition came in the late 1960s, as a representative, along with other artists from Land Art movement. His installations of flipped or distorted houses amid a natural landscape are part of his some representative pieces. His proposal to change the world of architecture, presenting it as a work of art came to catapult him as one of the most important contemporary artists. Currently, some of his public works are located in the most important Spanish cities.
