These asymmetrical yellow houses, which stand out in the snow, have been designed by Korean architectural firm Studio Koossino to accommodate people who visit a major botanical garden on the outskirts of Seoul. Architects’ of Studio Koossino, were inspired by the historical stone sculptures of Moau in Chile. The six holiday houses are located in the region Gapyeong. Like the statues, each “maisonette” has its own shape: at the top, the concrete structure is wide, with large windows, all of them are aligned and have the same size. The yellow panels were used to contrast with the green or white (depending on season), in the vicinity. Inside, the space is white with yellow accents. The decor is minimalist, trying to take advantage of the available space.
