How many colors have you seen? Red, blue, yellow, purple, green, orange… But how many colors have you heard? Thanks to Marco Barotti and Plastique Fantastique we have learned that colors also speak. And the project to explain it is Sound of Light. The procedure for conducting this experiment is complex and requires extensive knowledge in physics and programming. The idea is the following: first, a digital camera placed on top of the complex captures sunlight; later, this information is channeled to six structures located therein, which were designed to transform it into sound; finally, it is delivered through woofers installed at the bottom of the six structures. Sound of Light is a different way of perceiving the world, and teaches us that this way depends on how our senses are organized.
