The Canadian born artist Sarah Anne Johnson, lives and works in Winnipeg. All her projects take as inspiration the nature. As in the works she created for the project Arctic Wonderland, which range from manipulated photographs, to installations. Sarah intends to show the dichotomy between desperation for the end of civilization to the conquers of human being in all confines of the world. The manipulated photos refer to this conquer. While the original places are deserted, she invades them with other images, thanks to the aid of gouaches, oils, watercolors and inks. This series is composed by gloomy images and others full of color.
