The Argentinean painter Romina Ressia took classic Renaissance and added a touch of modernity. While for some, the result is a fun visual experience, for other it is conflicting. Her images seem more like Renaissance paintings, than a contemporary photographs, and therein lies their beauty. The artist ironically uses the confrontation between past and present.
Most of her projects have a classical influence, which can be easily identified. Ressia questions some problems of today, and how they affect society. Based on it, the series represents iconic characters and media process they are subjected to.
