As part of his graduation project at the Academy of Art and Design in Bezalel, Jerusalem, Rami Tareef created COD (Craft Oriented Design), a line of five pieces born from the intention to preserve the value of craft production, incorporating them into the world of mass production. Looking for an ongoing dialogue between craftsmanship and contemporary design, these pieces recapture the beauty and tradition of wickerwork furniture according to aesthetic and functional benefits of this material. The result: a set of geometry and texture generated by the layers of interwoven strings that achieve a perfect balance between support, ergonomics and aesthetics.
