Peter Kemp is a freelance photographer native of Delft, Holland. Part of his inspiration comes from the rich history steeped in the streets of his city. Kemp uses his work to tell different stories; he uses the characteristic golden light used by Vermeer, Rembrandt and Potter. His style is conceptual and is extremely detailed, as he plans his shots long before of performing them. It seems as in each image, Peter Kemp freezes time. By using elements and fantastic characters, the photos represent a transition from classical to contemporary photographs of fashion designers. Kemp transports the viewer to another dimension, to a fairytale of light and golden hues. His work is internationally recognized and has been repeatedly published in major magazines around the world. He is considered one of the best conceptual photographers and has had the opportunity to teach several successful workshops.
