Alexandra Clark and Rocko San, the photographers behind Out of Context, have used the ability of a photograph to divert the subject from its context, and how this image can be recreated and endowed with a new one. Photos with focal approach are generally produced in cities around the world and have been alienated from their original context. Currently based in London, UK, the inspiration for Out of Context can be found everywhere, specifically in the city: in decaying structures, dirt and grime of the underworld, in torn posters, random paint-spattered lying on the pavement and graffiti on the walls. For these two artists, the world is their canvas.
