Nick Gentry is a British artist whose work is mostly generated by the intervention of recycled materials. He mentioned that through this process he approaches the artist and the viewer. His work is influenced by consumerism and the development of technology in society. His best known pieces show portraits on floppy disks and the use of negatives as canvas. The color schemes ranging from tertiary to cool tones like green and blue with some red accents. The faces, present in all of his pieces are melancholic images emphasizing in recycling objects that make these portraits of society that consumes them.
