NEW POLYTECHNIC MUSEUM AND SCHOOL IN MOSCOW

The building will be located in the Sparrow Hills district of the Russian capital, very close to some Soviet-era monuments, including the Moscow State University and the Luzhniki stadium. The cladding of the building will be copper, as it is highly resistant to weather extremes, thus requiring little maintenance, being 100% recyclable. The structure is composed of four sections, which in turn constitute an irregular geometric shape which seems to be cut by the wind. Furthermore, natural light enters through three openings in the roof. The glass floor will therefore be able to appreciate the city. The complex will house a cinema, a cafe, restaurants, a gallery of science and art, areas for exhibitions and workshops, auditoriums, a library and a laboratory. The project should be completed in 2017 and is estimated to cost 180 million dollars.
