These small (and delicious) creations come from the minds of photographers Akiko Ida and Pierre Javelle. Akiko, Japanese and Pierre, was born in Burgundy, France, they met studying photography at art school of Arts Décoratifs in Paris. Specialized in food photography, each with a very distinct style: Akiko always liked to photograph the food she prepared. Pierre grew up surrounded by comics and photographers Cartier Bresson and Doisneau shaped his artistic style. From the fusion of these two styles, was born Minimiam (English ‘miniature’ and ‘miam’ which means yummy in French) a photographic series that uses small dolls and scenes made from foods like vegetables and desserts to capture everyday situations with unique and fun touch.
