Milan Fashion Week ended with a hangover of runways, parties and presentations. After six days, we can offer an assessment of the most important trends to take into account for next autumn-winter season. The brand‘s new creative director of Gucci, Alessandro Michele, leaned transparent tissue that break with the past of the Italian house.
The brand of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana got maternal and spent almost their entire collection to the traditional Italian matriarchy. Maternal garments and pregnant models dominated the runway. They were not made to wait scenes with children in their arms and even newborns. In some items, including the phrase “I love you Mom” in French and Italian.
Boots up above the knees, half height; booties, thick, thin and long dominated the collections of Alberta Ferretti, Emilio Pucci, Elisabetta Franchi, Versace, Moschino and MSGM.
The “hybrid” between skirt and pants (culottes), very 80s, which runs through an open skirt is attached to pants. This was the proposal of Giorgio Armani, who simply described the pledge as “modern yet normal”, but will surely be the new object of female desire.
Fully exposed or sublimely suggested, breasts played an important role during Milan Fashion Week. The brand Bluemarine decorated them; for Marco De Vincenzo must be small; Gucci’s covered with transparent fabrics, like Emilio Pucci, who showed them through transparencies in the dresses.
The “patchwork” seems to be one of the clearest trends of the season. Whether in leather, suede, fur and even silk brands like Fendi, Etro, Dsquared2 as proposed in fur coats, wrap dresses and even layers. The style inspired by the work of Antonio Marras, combining tartan, leather skirts, maxi coats and scarves, is a compliment to the meticulous craftsmanship that fits pieces of textures and sizes.
The extra large sizes were the whim of the firm Grinko which gave life to an urban tribe through its creations offered from garments to wide or riding hats.
The black color returned to the catwalks of Milan: Salvatore Ferragamo, Emilio Pucci, Jil Sander, Roberto Cavalli, Ter and Bantine, Fatima Val bet on wearing this color who was the real protagonist in almost all collections.
The patterns and pastel colors for fall and winter also shone in Milan. Brands like Prada, Fendi, Moschino, Max Mara and proposed aqua, beige, pink and pale blue.
The leggings were also the choice of Dolce & Gabbana and Versace which traditionally have included them in the collections. However other brands like Bottega Veneta, Fay and Smaller and Au Jour Le Jour have led to other heights as sports couture garment.
