The Museo Nacional de Arte (MUNAL) offers a historical collection of 330 photographic images that recapitulate key moments of collective memory and graphically summarize the history of our country from 1839 to 2010. The extensive collection of images begins with an introductory essay on the development of photography over a century and a half. The collection is full of little stories and deep images taken by Mexicans and some foreign talents. Jean F. Prelier , Antíoco Cruces, Luis G. Campa, Claude Désiré Charnay, Agustín Casasola, Tina Modotti, Manuel and Lola Álvarez Bravo are some of the names that enriched with their work the exhibition Mexico a traves de la fotografia.
