MAZE OF BAMBOO: FRANCO MARIA RICCI

The art collector and book publisher Franco Maria Ricci, finally ended one of its most ambitious projects, whose realization took him about 10 years: a maze of bamboo. Designed by architects Carlo and Davide Dutto Bontempi, who started nine years ago with The Labirinto della Masone, which is situated in a garden of Fontanellato, near Parma, Italy, and which has just opened its doors. The structure, which occupies 17 hectares, is made of different varieties of bamboo. The architects chose this plant because it does not lose its leaves in the winter, and purifies the air of carbon dioxide. A true work of art.
