Martin Tremblay aka PINCH is a Canadian photographer whose work focuses on the city of Montreal. Recently, he was commissioned by the magazine SCHÖN for a photo shoot called Fortune Cookie, in which he reveals his vision through the critique of the traditional photographic shot. Michael Tremblay’s work is characterized by raising standards of photographic aesthetics. This series, took two years of production and 160 hours of retouching work reflected in the beauty of the execution.
The composition of the images breaks barriers and takes the viewer to observe twice to find irregularities in the severity of the scenarios in addition to make him aware of how little attention usually provides to the images. Without a hidden message, the artist expresses that he wanted to create something different: a link between opposite worlds: while the model has an experience in the reality we see, other things happen in the opposite side.
