Marco Castilla is a French photographer who originally worked in the field of cinema and television. In his own words, now he is not interested in fleeting images, so he began to devote his artistic work to still ones. Due his obsession with architecture and urban structures he has been taken pictures of buildings, bridges and empty service stations for many years. He has refined his shots concentrating himself on the structure of the buildings. The intent of Castilla’s images, is to capture the essence of the place, whether in the city or a natural landscape, without any other element that disrupts this experience, so his pictures prefer the simplicity of the geometrical forms and palettes of two or three colors, which adds timing and mood to the images.
