Just some times … Is an installation of the British artist Luke Jerram, in which more than 1,000 umbrellas floating along the canal in Rotterdam, in a swirl of floating visual sensations. The sea of colored umbrellas is placed along the channel, temporarily, as part of the Witte de Witte de With Festival. In the piece, the basic functions of an umbrella is literally inverted as shown by colorful umbrellas. Placing random and unpredictable objects suggest a passing moment of spontaneity. It is as if a crowd of people found that it stopped raining, the sun shines brightly, and could quickly and easily get rid of their umbrellas in the water.
