Lucid Stead is an installation of artist Phillip K Smith III, made in a house of 70 years in the wilderness. Wood is the original material and its dimensions were not changed, only a series of mirrors that day reflect the desert and at night become a light fixture where four windows and door show colors changing very slowly included the facade during night.

The installation works with light and multiple changes on the perception that creates the object. The interaction with the sun and the way the light and shadow dramatically change the structure and the light reflected in the mirrors mimics the desert in its many moments Lucid Stead makes an installation that melts sand around to create a very ethereal atmosphere.
