Skira is a design firm, specialized in illuminations. With offices in Croatia, this workshop has been awarded numerous times, by its origina installations and projects, where technology and light are the protagonists. Despite their speciality is urban architecture and illumination, this time developed the project Lighting Giants, where transformed building machinery pieces, into an installation of public art. The pieces were placed in a way to resemble folded origami pieces. The work was created thanks to a remote system that produces a choreography with lights, which have more than 16 thousand different combinations of colors: yellow, green, blue, purple, among many other tones. Lighting Giants was presented during the opening of the Visual Festival in Croatia. The fantasy of this installation intensifies because it is on the side of the water, making possible to appreciate the reflection of lights.
