Can you imagine opening a room that has been intact since the 50’s? What would you like to find? This time capsule was found by furniture designer Nathan Chandler when he opened the door of a house he bought in 2010 but whose construction dates from 1956. What was his surprise to find an almost intact kitchen.
For some strange reason, the original owners built the house but never lived there. They kept it sealed and left unused the kitchen furnished with pink appliances from General Electric that were installed at that time. You can imagine some of our series and movies such as Bewitched, I love Lucy or Breakfast at Tiffanys come alive from black and white or technicolor to the current sharpness of the pictures or 50’s-inspired programs like Mad Men.
