The Australian artist Kate Shaw, reinterprets the landscape painting, based on a contemporary context and the way in which human beings relate to nature. Shaw explores the sublime in nature by representing it with artificial and toxically elements, to think about the connection we have with our environment, but which at the same time, we distance ourselves every day. The result of this approach are visually appealing images that capture the viewer’s attention forcing him to look them carefully to discover what lies beneath this rainbow identifying the lines and contours of mountains, lakes or trees.
