Jessica Hische is an editorial designer specialized in typography and illustration, all related with books as aesthetic proposal. She has worked with artists like Wes Anderson (she was the creator of the poster of the movie Moonrise Kingdom) and Dave Eggers. She has also done designs for Tiffany & Co., The New York Times, Barnes & Noble and Penguin Books, among others. For Penguin, she designed a collection called Penguin Drop Caps, a series of 26 collectible hard-cover classics, one by letter, which occupies the whole cover. Penguin Drop Caps is a coloring work jointly with Paul Buckley. The letter “A”, for example, belongs to Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice), the “B” for Charlotte Brönte (Wuthering Heights), “C” for Willa Cather (My Ántonia), and so until “Z”, for Carlos Ruiz Zafon (The Shadow of the Wind).
