Named Designer of the Year in 2004 by Maison & Objet, the international exhibition of home design in Paris, India Mahdavi is one of the designers with more international recognition.
India Mahdavi’s imagination has no limits. Her office IMH, based in Paris, is known for her diverse international projects, in which she explored from the architecture to the scenery, to interior design, furniture and objects. The sensuality, modernity and elegance characterize her creations. In Mexico is known for her collaboration in the design of the interiors of the Hotel Condesa DF, smooth and clean lines that combine minimalist white with soft pastel. Among her other works are The Peacock at Rowsley, a small hotel and restaurant in England, the Dragon-i restaurant in Hong Kong in which merges the mysticism and beauty of Chinese and Japanese traditions with style and finesse of the most recognized places to be and be seen in New York, Paris and London. Currently India is designing a boutique for Trussardi in Milan and several private homes in the United States.
