The firm Tammo Prinz Architects, recently showed the “Housing Tower”, a project with which they participated in an important competition of developing housing in Lima, Peru. Their proposal is based on geometric shapes, made with concrete, which seem to fuse to reach the sky. The base of the structure is rectangular, and its environment offers a green area, which further highlights the architecture of the site. The outer, rigid and confusing, will house apartments and offices that have a lot of outdoor spaces, like windows and balconies. Sober colors emphasize minimalism of the proposal, which stress upon the use of hexagons and squares to generate an impressive structure, which seems to be armed with an infinite number of these forms.
