Fred Eerdekens is an artist born in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium in 1951. He is famous for the way he combines the language (the letters), and sculpture in his installations. To Eerdekens, the light management is essential, there are times when the forms originate in a projection, from the way the elements are arranged with respect to light and shadow. In addition to specializing in shadows sculpture, he reflects words that convey ideas and thoughts. Fred creates his sculptures with wire, cement and candles. His inspiration comes from his drawings, so look for a new way of representing his reality.
