Using objects and everyday materials, FORESHOCK anticipates solutions to problems that have not yet arrived, and propose solutions that suggest what is to happen. Its processes and plastic strategies are inherited from the ingenious creativity of its Mexican ID (anything can be fixed with just one little wire), while its aesthetic and conceptual treatment is thoughtful but critical. The meeting point of the conversation is the memory of the 1985 earthquake in Mexico City. The tremor becomes a metaphor to talk about events that have strong consequences without limit of time and space. However, these artists do care for them and the effect generated by their actions in their immediate context.
The next exhibitions: 2015: SHOCK – 30-year from 85, and 2016: AFTERSHOCK.
